At the heart of the new LFI app are the complete archives of Leica Fotografie (International). While iPad users already have access to digital issues published from 2004–2016, this will now be successively expanded to also include the publication period from 1949–2003.
The beginnings of M photography
Among the earliest German (1949–1959) and English-language (1953–1959) editions that have now become accessible are some true rarities whose print-versions are no longer available on the collectors market. Readers are able to preview an excerpt of each issue, consisting of the contents and eight double-pages, prior to purchase.
Latest LFI issues free of charge
Starting with the current issue of the magazine, LFI subscribers will be able to download the most recent edition of LFI free of charge.
The new version of the app now features an LFI Blog section with all entries published to date – bringing you exclusive photo series, interviews, book reviews and insights into the work of ambitious amateur and professional photographers.
The app's visual design has also been improved. An appealingly simple and more streamlined look for the start page of the LFI Gallery makes all areas of the Gallery visible at one glance. A single click lets you access every section, from the Leica Master Shots to the most recent competitions and latest uploads of our Gallery members.
