LEICA X Edition Moncler

October 15, 2014

Leica have collaborated with sportswear company Moncler to create the Leica X Edition Moncler.
The limited edition was introduced on 14 October 2014. The exclusive launch took place at Sotheby's, London, as part of the exhibition opening of Monuments by Fabien Baron. The event also kicked off London's annual Frieze Art Fair.

The Leica X Edition Moncler is limited to 1500 models worldwide. Every camera is supplied with a camera case, designed in characteristic Moncler style: the padded white pouch is a reflection of the down-jacket designs that have turned the clothing company into a leading fashion label across the world.

In terms of technical specifications, the Leica X Edition Moncler is identical to its serially produced counterpart, the new Leica X. Both cameras feature a professional-level CMOS sensor with a more than 16.5 megapixel resolution (16.2 effective MPs) in APSC format, as well as the light-sensitive Leica-Summilux 23 mm f/1.7 Asph – resulting in highest image quality and a wide scope of creative possibilities.

The Leica X Edition Moncler will be available in Leica Stores and Boutiques as well as Moncler's flagship stores from October 2014. The recommended retail price is 2,450 euros.
