Second call with increased prize money
Leica Camera have re-issued their invitation for professional photographers to submit their entries for the Oskar Barnack Award 2015, in the process of which the prize money has been increased. For the first time, the main category winner now stands to receive 25,000 euros along with photographic equipment from the Leica M System to the value of 10,000 euros.

In addition to the main category, the competition also includes a Newcomer Award for aspiring photographers up to the age of 25. The winner is awarded the sum of 5,000 euros as well as a Leica rangefinder camera with lens.

All participation details and competition rules can be found at leica-oskar-barnack-preis.de. Submissions are accepted online from 15 January to 1 March 2015.

A presentation of the best entries can be viewed online from 1 April 2015. The awards ceremony will be held during the photo festival Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie, which takes place in Arles, South of France, from 6 to 12 July 2015. An accompanying special edition of LFI will be available with extensive features on the winning and shortlisted series, and the photographers who created them.
