Every M Lens on a poster

April 22, 2018

Leica enthusiast Rainer Giacomelli has created a wall-poster featuring all M lenses and their chief technical and optical attributes.
Rainer Giacomelli, a Leica devotee based in France, has gone to the effort of compiling the main parameters of all M lenses (plus five screw-mount lenses) produced since 1954, and publishing them on a wall-poster measuring around 60 x 80 cm. Printed on high-gloss paper, the poster features details such as: dimension, weight, minimum focus distance, minimum/maximum aperture; lens cap, hood, filter thread, as well as distinctions between different variants; also listed are the number of units produced, type of optical design and 6-bit encoding. A blank line has been left for collectors to enter the serial number of their particular model.
