Leica releases new firmware versions for all digital Leica M cameras
Leica releases new firmware versions for all digital Leica M cameras. With the update, the cameras now support the new Summarit M lenses.

The new Summarit line was announced at Photokina 2014, with the biggest change being the new maximum aperture of f/2.4, the overall light sensitivity of the whole Summarit range has been increased. Aside, the 35mm acquired an aspherical lens, and the closest focusing distance for both tele lenses has been reduced. The new firmware versions apply to the four new Summarits:

Summarit-M 1:2.4/35 mm Asph
Summarit-M 1:2.4/50 mm
Summarit-M 1:2.4/75 mm
Summarit-M 1:2.4/90 mm

The new firmware versions are:

Leica M8 Firmware v2.024
Leica M9, M9-P and M-E Firmware v1.202
Leica M Monochrom Firmware v1.008
Leica M and M-P Firmware v2.0.1.7
