'The Haight: Love, Rock, and Revolution', brings together hundreds of pictures by Jim Marshall never published before. On October 16, 2014, the author, Joel Selvin, will hold an autograph session at the Leica Store L.A.

The social and, above all, musical hippy movement in the USA during the sixties continues to fascinate people even today. The movement originated in the The Haight district of San Francisco, where musicians such as Janis Joplin, and members of the Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane lived.

Jim Marshall is considered a chronicler of this legendary era of transformation and peace movements. He enjoyed unlimited access to the concerts of the great musicians of that time, using a Leica M4 to document very personal moments in front of and behind the scenes. The photographer, who passed away in 2010, was the recipient of the Grammy Trustees Award for his life's work.
