Leica photographer Tomeu Coll presents his forst photobook, that he shot entirely with his Leica M6, in a small tour around Europe. Starting in Cologne on November 23, 2019.
Coll’s first photobook is the result of a ten-year photo project. He chose not to travel the world, but to„(…) capture[…] the unfathomable and almost unreal territories of his island“, in black and white photographs. Page after page, Coll unfolds a complete different and unknown side of the Balearic island Mallorca to the viewer. This includes „the swampy lands of Sant Jordi, his village, and the people who inhabit the place.“
On the occasion of the book presentation Cologne's Post Tyler Gallery also hosts an exhibition of Coll's work opening on November 23, 2019 at 4 pm.
After that Coll will also open an exhibition at Casa Planas Centre de Creació Cultural in Palma, Mallorca on November, 26th and at CSF Adams/Kromart Gallery, Rome on November 29th, 2019.
