Photoszene Festival 2018

September 20, 2018

This year’s Photoszene Festival is once again set to take place in parallel to Cologne’s Photokina imaging fair.
From 21 to 30 September 2018, the Photoszene association will once again present a rich programme of high-end photography exhibitions in venues across Cologne – including the Museum Ludwig, the SK Cultural Foundation, the Forum for Photography, the Michael Horbach Foundation, the Christuskirche church, and many other galleries and art spaces throughout the city.

The festival also features numerous seminars, workshops and Artist Talks, along with the legendary Photographer’s Night, the ‘Sichtbar’ Portfolio Review, and the ‘Photoszene Kids’ children’s programme. In addition, the Cologne Museum for Applied Arts will revolve entirely around photo books, hosting both the Dummy Award and the renowned Kassel Photobook Award.

The extensive range of exhibitions will be further complemented by the ambitious project Photoszene Residency Artist meets Archive, created in collaboration with several museums. The participating artists are Erik Kessels (Netherlands), Ola Kolehmainen (Finland), Ronit Porat (Israel), Fiona Tan (Netherlands/Indonesia), Roselyne Titaud (France), and Antje van Wichelen (Belgium).
