Brooklyn-born Jamal Shabazz has been a dedicated photographer since the age of 15, achieving international acclaim for his numerous book projects and exhibitions. His work was featured in the documentary film "Planet B-Boy" (2007), and was part of the exhibition "Street Art Street Life: From the 1950s to Now" (2008) at the Bronx Museum of the Arts.
In 2011, one of his photographs became the cover image of the album "Undun" by US hip hop band The Roots. Shabazz has also appeared in the documentary film "Everybody Street" (2010) by Cheryl Dunn, about photographers who have specialised in capturing New York street life. The artist lives and works in New York.
