Fascination Shanghai in Cologne

To mark the 1st International World Cities Day on 31 October, the Shanghai City Information Office presents Fascination Shanghai by Leica photographer HG Esch. The exhibition will be on display at Cologne's Rhine Harbour from 20 to 26 October 2014.

At the heart of the event is the photographer's 360° panorama of Shanghai city, which only recently drew 70.000 visitors to its former location outside Cologne Cathedral. The walk-in rotunda, which offers a unique, close-up encounter with the Chinese metropolis, has now been moved immediately next to Cologne's Chocolate Museum.

In addition, the exhibition Amazing Shanghai also brings the Chinese mega-city to Houston, USA: From 23 to 27 October, HG Esch's rotunda will enable visitors of The Galleria in Houston to experience the vibrant metropolis in a 360° surround view.

Both installations are accessible 24 hours a day. Admission is free.
