A touring exhibition presenting the winners of this year's German Photo Book Prize is currently showing at the Forum für Fotografie in Cologne. Within the context of the Stuttgarter Buchwochen (Stuttgart Book Weeks) 2015, a jury of industry experts honoured 22 publications with the coveted Gold and Silver prize. A further 192 volumes received the distinction 'Nominated 2016'.
The German Photo Book Prize is organised by the German Book Trade Association/National Association Baden-Württemberg. It aims to honour outstanding aesthetic and technical achievements of photographers, editors and publishers in the field of photo-book publishing. The award, which is not endowed with a monetary prize, is divided into the categories 'Conceptual Fine-Art Photo Books', 'Photographic History/Theory', 'Photography Text-books' and 'Coffee Table Books'.
