The Architekturschaufenster association in Karlsruhe, Germany, has initiated a series of exhibitions exploring the presentation of architecture in photography. The first installment, comprising works by Andreas Gehrke and Beatrice Minda, continues until 10 May 2016.

How can architecture be depicted? How does the photographer relate to a cityscape, its buildings and interior spaces, iconic structures, personal spaces, infrastructure and the cultural landscape? The first installment of the exhibition series ‘Architectural Photography – What’s it Trying to Achieve?’ is currently showing in parallel to the 1st Karlsruhe Month of Architectural Photography.

By presenting the works of Andreas Gehrke and Beatrice Minda, the Architekturschaufenster association has chosen two photographers who have each developed their own characteristic approach to creating artistic depictions of architectural structures and interior spaces.
