Out now: the photo-book ‘Trinity’ by Joachim Brohm and Valentina Seidel, released by Snoeck Publishing in Cologne.
The photo-book Trinity by German photography artists Joachim Brohm and Valentina Seidel has been released by Snoeck Publishing. The volume focuses on the 70-year odyssey of the St. Trinitatis parish community in Leipzig. With the construction of a new church building by Schulz & Schulz architects, St. Trinitatis has returned to the centre of the city: prominently situated right across from the monumental town hall built in 1905.

More than 120 carefully selected photographs follow the continuous transformation of the construction site from 2012 to 2015. The evolving new architecture also provides the backdrop for several portraits series: teenagers celebrating their holy confirmation, workmen of multicultural origin as well as the artists commissioned to enhance the new building. By integrating a number of additional photographs from other projects into the sequence of series, Joachim Brohm und Valentina Seidel develop an unexpected and complex visual narrative that leads the viewer far beyond the boundaries of conventional documentation.
