Edward Burtynsky

March 3, 2015

The Canadian photographer's exhibition "Water and More" is showing at the FO.KU.S Gallery in Innsbruck from 3 March to 9 May 2015.
The FO.KU.S Gallery in Innsbruck presents large-format images by Canadian photographer Edward Burtynsky (born 1955). The displayed works are taken from the series Water – Burtynsky's most expansive project to date – and will be presented together with the film Watermark and the photo book Burtynsky Water.

Burtynsky's book publication Water explores how industry and consumption affect our water resources, as well as illustrating the different roles water plays in our modern lives.

In his large-format aerial photographs, Burtynsky offers a precise presentation of industrially created landscapes and the collapsing natural environment. His images are a fascinating portrait of man's relationship with nature and our most important resource: Water.
