One Night in Rio

July 13, 2015

Starting today in Hamburg, Berlin, Cologne and Munich: "One Night in Rio", a presentation of pictures of the 2014 Football World Cup Final.
Starting today, the One Night in Rio exhibition of photographs by Paul Ripke is on display in four German cities. The Hamburg photographer was up close and personal at the final game of the Football World Cup at the Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro on July 13, 2014. In celebration of the first year jubilee of the victory, the One Night in Rio exhibition is opening simultaneously in Hamburg (Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe), Munich (Deutsches Museum), Cologne (Deutsches Sport & Olympia Museum) and Berlin (Haus Ungarn).

In the changing room, at airport security and on the flight back from Brazil: in addition to the popular scenes from the stadium, Ripke’s pictures show the German national team in less public moments. In the LFI Blog, the photographer shares the story behind his picture series, and you can read an interview with the photographer on the Leica Blog.

You can find more information about the project at: www.onenightinrio.de.
Further information about the exhibition can be found at: MGK – Hamburg, DM – Munich and SM – Cologne.
