On November 8, 2014, the yearly portfolio viewing took place at the Haus der Photographie (House of Photography) in Hamburg's Deichtorhallen.
With the portfolio viewings, the Freundeskreis (Friends of the House of Photography) offers upcoming photographers the opportunity to present their work to photo editors from the media, art buyers from renowned advertising agencies, exhibition curators and photography professors.
Among the experts viewing the portfolios was LFI Editor in Chief, Inas Fayed.
The award's announcement and presentation with attractive prizes from the world of photography, took place on December 5, within the framework of the Freundeskreis's 20 year jubilee celebration: Juliane Herrmann and Sebastian Forkarth won the third prize, Philip Frowein the second prize and Eugen Steinbach the first prize. He will receive a Leica X Vario donated by Leica.
