Seafarers

Hamburg, Leica photographer Patrick Ludolph spent six weeks in 2016 travelling the ocean waves on various Hapag-Lloyd container vessels, to complete his Seafarers project, where he documented the lives and work of the seafarers on board.

A selection of pictures is now on display at foyer of Hapag-Lloyd AG on Ballindamm in Hamburg. The exhibition is open to the public at the following times, when the photographer will be present to answer questions about the project:

Fridays, 22 and 29 September, as well as 6 October, 2017, from 16:00 to 18:00 respectively.

The photo book, Seafarers, with around 160 pictures, will be launched on the occasion of the exhibition’s opening. You can see a trailer of the book at Vimeo and order the book here.
