From 23 January, Haus der Photographie in Hamburg presents the exhibition Gute Aussichten 2014/2015 - New German Photography. In its eleventh year, the annual competition offers a young generation of photographers the opportunity to explore some of life's existential themes: the everyday nature of death; the question of what remains, and what is forever gone when someone has passed away; or contemporary issues of 'modern migration' – whereby societies that are deeply rooted in tradition have nevertheless integrated the gadgets and technology of Western consumerism into their everyday lives.
300 Images, 2 Video Projections, 3 Publications
Gute Aussichten – New German Photography 2014/2015 encompasses more than 300 photographs, two video projections and three artists' publications. The eight winners and their work will also be introduced in a catalogue of the same title, available at the end of November 2015 in English and German.
