American Made

September 6, 2015

From September 10 to October 28, 2015, the LFI Gallery in Hamburg is presenting “American Made”, an exhibition of pictures by Bruce Gilden.
On September 10, 2015, Leica Fotografie International (LFI) will be presenting “American Made”, an exhibition of pictures by the exceptional, American photographer, Bruce Gilden. It will take place at LFI's exhibition space in Hamburg. On display will be six brand new, large-format, merciless yet spectacular colour photographs that Gilden took during his forty-day trip throughout the United States.

Leica Camera and the Leica Fotografie International (LFI) S Magazine have been following this project in the USA for a year. The outcome is “American Made”, Gilden's impressive snapshots of those of his fellow citizens who have been unable to live the American Dream. In addition to the elaborate S Magazine, which includes 80 of Gilden's pictures, LFI is also producing worldwide exhibitions of the photographer's detail-rich pictures, printed in outstanding quality. With their 2.7 x 1.8m format, they are probably the largest, single-sheet photographs ever printed in such high quality on Kodak photo paper.

Following a preview presentation at the Leica Fotografie International exhibition space, another 26 prints will be on display as of October 23 at the Hamburg offices of Edel AG.
