French photographer Mathieu Pernot was the winner of the 2019 HCB-Award
Entries for the HCB Award, presented by the Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation, can be submitted until April 30, 2021. The 35,000-euro award is designed as a project grant that enables the completion of an ongoing body of work. It is aimed at experienced photographers who have already produced significant projects in the field of documentary photography.
The HCB Award is presented every two years at the end of June. A jury comprised of prominent figures from the international art world determines the winner. The project selected this year will, once completed, be exhibited at the Fondation HCB in spring 2023, and published in the form of a book.
