As of November 13, at the GAF in Hanover, ten photographers are presenting their perspectives on the Polish dream. What has changed since the fall of the Iron Curtain? What did the Polish population hope to achieve, and what has happened to that hope?
Starting from a feeling of change
The starting point is photographer Witold Krassowski's work documenting the political changes of 1989. It shows fleeting moments at the beginning of the period of transition.
Which dreams came true?
Another part of the exhibition deals with the question of which dreams came true. Contrary to the expectation that prosperity would reach every Pole, many people today live in poverty. The exhibition includes works by Agnieszka Rayss, Mariusz Forecki, Arek Gola, and Michał Szlaga.
