The fine-art hotel ‘Das kleine Schwarze’ in Hamburg has been temporarily transformed by the renowned photographer Anatol Kotte: the experiential showcase ‘Hotel Anatol’ opened on August 17, 2019.

On August 17, 2019, the fine-art hotel ‘Das kleine Schwarze’ (Little Black Dress) in Hamburg reveals its latest in-situ project, created by the renowned German photographer Anatol Kotte. For two years now, visitors are able to immerse themselves in Kotte’s unique artistic vision, and experience different facets of his work in every room, including corridors and the hotel lobby.

Kotte’s ‘Hotelhotel Room’, for example, houses photographs and memorabilia from hotel rooms he has stayed in on his world-wide travels in the past few years. The installation also includes a ‘Selfie Room’ – featuring Kotte’s own selfies and an opportunity for guests to orchestrate their own self portrait – as well as a museum-style ‘Collector’s Room’ filled with works the photographer has traded or acquired from fellow artists.
