From 30 May to 16 June 2019, photographer Robin Hinsch will be exhibiting his series “SAPAD” in Hamburg, which he photographed with a camera from the LFI loan pool.

In early 2019, the Hamburg photographer travelled the “Suwalki gap” between Poland and Lithuania – a potentially explosive place as the strip practically separates the NATO partner from Russia.

Hinsch has processed his impressions from his journey to the Sulwalki Corridor into an atmospherically dense, associative photo essay. The photographs show mystical
landscapes, obscure structures, impressive buildings, artefacts of the past and future, spaces in between – almost a metaphor for the current situation of the European Union.

The opening will take place on 29 May 2019 at Ame Nue Artspace in Hamburg.
