The exhibition Generation Wealth with works by award-winning film maker and photographer Lauren Greenfield will be on display at the Haus der Photographie in Hamburg from 30 March to 23 June 2019 – marking the first time the series is presented in Germany. In her projects, Greenfield (b. 1966) not only portrays the lives of the super-wealthy, but also shines a light on those who will go to any lengths to emulate this perceived ideal. The showcase is comprised of over 200 photographs, accompanied by illuminating interviews and several short films.

The Emmy-award-winning photographer and film maker counts as one of the most acclaimed documentarists of youth culture, gender and consumer culture. Her series Fast Forward, Girl Culture, THIN and Generation Wealth have been exhibited in venues around the world, and are represented in numerous renowned museum collections.
