The 2020 edition of France’s largest open air photo festival takes place in La Gacilly, Brittany, from July 1 to October 31, 2020. More than 600 large-scale prints will be displayed on the facades of the picturesque village’s granite-stone buildings. Ever since it was founded in 2004, the festival has placed a central focus on ethics, sustainability, humanity and nature – whereby the boundaries between photojournalism and fine-art are consciously blurred.
Every year, the exciting outdoor display draws more than 300,000 visitors. The 17th edition is dedicated to the topic of ‘Viva Latina!’. Emmanuel Berthier, Luisa Dörr, Martin Bernetti, as well as Leica photographers Sebastião Salgado and Tomás Munita are among the highly diverse range of photographers chosen to celebrate this vibrant theme.
