Foundation Prize for Photographic Art 2020

The ten projects shortlisted for this year’s sponsorship award are on display at the Kunstwerk Sammlung Klein in Eberdingen, Germany, until December 20, 2020.
This year marks the fifth edition of the Foundation Prize for Photographic Art, established by the Alison and Peter Klein Foundation in support of young artists based in Germany. The finalists for the 2020 award, which is comprised of €10,000, were nominated by jury members Ann-Christin Bertrand, Stefan Gronert, Matthias Harder and Ute Noll.

The overall theme of this year’s edition is ‘Present / Memory’, in reference to the role of photography as a memory-sustaining medium. The artists represented in the exhibition are Louisa Clement (b. 1987, lives in Bonn), Christiane Feser (b. 1977, lives in Frankfurt am Main), Isabelle Graeff (b. 1977, lives in Berlin), Andrea Grützner (b. 1984, lives in Berlin and New York), Sabrina Jung (b. 1978, lives in Brandenburg an der Havel), Marten Lange (b. 1984, lives in Berlin), Nina Röder (b. 1983, lives in Berlin and Hamburg), Jewgeni Roppel (b. 1983, lives in Hamburg), Morgaine Schäfer (b. 1989, lives in Cologne) and Marie Zbikowska (b. 1978, lives in Berlin).
