Autumn of Photography in Zingst

October 1, 2019

This year’s Zingst Photography Autumn is set to begin.
This year’s Zingst Photography Autumn is set to begin – here are just some of the exciting exhibitions opening at the German seaside resort from September and October 2019:

Germany – A Journey Through Time (September 16, 2019 to January 15, 2020). Presented at the Max Hünten Haus, this showcase of works by Berthold Steinhilber explores Germany’s history and the cultural influences that shape the country to this day.

Political Portraits (October 1, 2019 to February 2, 2020). Leica Gallery Zingst presents a selection of works by Götz Schleser, featuring German politicians such as Angela Merkel, Andrea Nahles, Christian Lindner and Wolfgang Schäuble. Schleser’s portraits ask profound questions about what it means to be a politician, as he seeks to illustrate the complex interplay of ethos, personal character and public image.

Urban Jungle (October 1, 2019 to April 30, 2020). This open-air exhibition at the town’s Postplatz Square features fascinating and humorous works by Sven Meurs, showing the astute ways in which wildlife has infiltrated modern cities.
