The debut edition of the Manzana 1 photo festival will be held in Santa Cruz de la Sierra from November 23 to 27, 2022. The international event – which takes place at the Manzana 1 Espacio de Arte – offers a multitude of special highlights, including exhibits by six World Press Photo Award winners: Nicolo Filippo (Italy), Daniele Volpe (Italy), Catalina Martin Chico (France), Matjaz Krivic (Slovenia), Rodrigo ABD (Argentina), and Ernesto Benavides (Peru).
Leica photographer Ragnar Axelsson (a.k.a. RAX) will be honoured with a solo exhibition, featuring excerpts from his series on life close to the Arctic circle.
The showcases will be complemented by a programme of workshops, portfolio reviews and expert talks. Among the represented speakers are the picture editors of National Geographic, Magdalena Herrera, as well as LFI picture editor Carol Körting – who also curated a festival exhibition comprising 20 Pictures of the Week from the LFI.Gallery.
After the festival, all exhibitions will stay on display until February 26, 2023.
