The international Felix Schoeller Photo Award 2015 is reminding would-be participants that the deadline for submissions is May 31, 2015. Since January 1, entries from 40 countries have been registered.
With prize monies totalling €25,000, this award is one of the highest valued competitions in German-speaking countries. There are winners in five categories as well as one newcomer award. The winners in each category receive €2,000, while the newcomer award receives equipment valued at €5,000. The Photo Award in Gold is chosen from among the category winners and is endowed with an additional €10,000.
From portrait to architecture photography
The five categories are portraits, landscape/nature, architecture/industry, photojournalism/editorial, and free/conceptual photography. The award ceremony will take place at the beginning of October, in parallel to the opening of an exhibition of the winning pieces at the Kulturgeschichtlichen Museum in Osnabrück.
