Dusseldorf: Focus on Photography

February 2, 2016

The annual Dusseldorf Photo Weekend is set to take place from 12 to 14 February 2016.
From 12 to 14 February 2016, Dusseldorf will be dedicated to photography during the fifth edition of the city's annual Photo Weekend. More than fifty galleries, museums, institutes and temporary exhibition spaces will participate in this year's event. Following its great success in previous years, the Dusseldorf Photo Weekend has become an established element of the city's art and culture scene, and is also gaining increasing international attention.

The exhibition programme of this year's edition spans from the beginnings of photography in the 19th century to contemporary explorations of the medium – representing artists such as Lucien Clergue and William Wegman (Bugdahn und Kaimer Gallery) as well as Leica photographer Loïc Bréard, whose series 'Egypt – In the Mirror of Timelessness' will be showing at the Art Unit Gallery.
