For the second time, the History and Archive Department of the German Society for Photography (DGPh) offers a grant to research the history of german-language photography publications.
Researching the History of Photographic Publications
The grant will initially be given out in two-year intervals for the duration of the next ten years. Initiated by the internationally renowned curator, publisher, designer, collector and photography expert Manfred Heiting, its purpose is to promote historical research into all facets of photography-related publications.
The grant money of 7,500 euros is designed to facilitate research into a specific area of German-language photo-publications. An overview and foreseeable time-frame for the project must be laid out beforehand. An additional 5,000 euros enables the research results to be printed as part of a book-series published by the DGPh. The findings may also be published in other formats, such as an exhibition or a digital data bank.
Applications are accepted until 30 September 2015
