The Picture of Education

For the third time, the DGPh (German Society for Photography) Education Award supports projects in the field of visual communication, as well as outstanding, practice-based scientific projects. Areas include cultural and museum-related pedagogic activities that address or involve photography, media-based educational programmes on photography such as websites and Apps, as well as extra-curricular and in-school projects. A particular focus is placed on international and inter-disciplinary approaches.

The award is organised by the DGPh education department with the aim of providing fresh impulses to the educational field of photography. The department is dedicated to supporting a future-orientated school of seeing, a general understanding of visual and medial perception, as well as photographic training. Universities, cultural education centres, schools and practice-based fields that are education-orientated can all benefit from the DGPh education department's work.

Submissions for the DGPh Education Award are accepted until 15 March 2015, and can be uploaded as PDF files at bildungspreis@dgph.de
