The group exhibition ‘Des Oiseaux’ (On Birds) continues at the Galerie Le Château d’Eau in Toulouse until August 21, 2022. Organised in collaboration with Atelier EXB, the showcase brings together works by twelve internationally renowned artists, all of them linked by a common theme.
Modelled on the popular ‘Des Oiseaux’ photo book series (a collection of volumes featuring exceptional avian photographs from around the world), the exhibition celebrates the mesmerising presence of birds in a world in which they have become endangered. A previously unpublished text by French ornithologist, Guilhem Lesaffre, complements the exhibits.
The showcase encompasses a broad spectrum of visual approaches; the represented photographers are: Albarran Cabrera, Min Byunghun, Graciela Iturbide, Leila Jeffreys, Rinko Kawauchi, Michael Kenna, Christophe Maout, Yoshinori Mizutani, Paolo Pellegrin, Bernard Plossu, Pentti Sammallahti, and Terri Weifenbach.
After the Château d’Eau, the exhibition will move to the Hangar in Brussels, where it will be on display from September 2022.
