The 9th Darmstadt Days of Photography are set to take place from 22 to 24 April 2016. This year's event revolves around the theme of 'Projection – Photographic Assertions'. In addition to an extensive range of exhibitions, expert symposiums and discussions, the Merck Award will once again be given out as part of the festival with a total monetary value of 10,000 euros.
6th Merck Award
For the sixth time, photographers participating in the festival's fringe programme also have the opportunity to be chosen for the Merck Award. From the pool of approximately 30 submissions accepted for the fringe programme, a jury will nominate three works. The final winner is set to receive 7,000 euros, the other two nominees 1,500 euros each.
The jury comprises the four initiators of the Darmstadt Days of Photography, along with Ute Noll (on-photography.com) and Prof. Kris Scholz (h_da Darmstadt).
