The 13th edition of the renowned award is dedicated to Ghana, and the ecological and social challenges facing the West-African country at this time.

The jury members will convene in Paris in November 2022. This year’s jury is composed of James Barnor, Alona Pardo, Azu Nwagbogu, Vera D. Kwakofi, Lars Lindemann, Dr. Kees Baldé, as well as the laureate of the Carmignac Photojournalism Award’s 12th edition.

The winner stands to receive € 50,000 for the realisation of a photojournalistic project on the ecological and social crisis in Ghana – one of the main importers of electronic waste from Western Europe.
