February 17, 2018

An exhibition of three-dimensional images from the 1930s will be showing at the Vorarlberg Museum in Bregenz, Austria, from 17 February to 15 April 2018.
The photographs of Norbert Bertolini (1899–1982) vividly convey the world of the middle classes in the Austrian county of Vorarlberg during the 1930s: days out in a Cabriolet, hiking trips in the Dolomites to retrace locations of World War I, still lifes of intricate flower arrangements.

Now the Vorarlberg Museum in Bregenz, Austria, presents a selection of Bertolini’s work in the exhibition 3D um 1930. Der Fotograf Norbert Bertolini, showing from 17 February to 15 April 2018.

Bertolini worked with an analogue stereo camera, giving rise to three-dimensional images – consequently, visitors enter the exhibition wearing 3D glasses. The photographs on display are part of a comprehensive donation made to the Vorarlberg County Library, which can be viewed in its entirety on the library’s online platform volare.
