Leica Gallery Boston presents the exhibition ‘Quotidian’ by Alain Laboile. On view from 31 August to 29 October 2017.
This self-taught photographer who only possesses one picture of his own childhood simply wished to record the passing of time with his family. Much of the inspiration behind Laboile’s collections stem from his desire to transform the transient moments of his children’s’ lives into everlasting memories that can be viewed years later.
Laboile’s exhibition features an artist talk (22 September) and an Akademie workshop (23 September) that will entail the spontaneity, creativity and complicity in photography by using and optimizing the surrounding environment in visual storytelling.
On view: 31 August through 29 October 2017
