The 2023/24 edition of the BFF Grant & Mentorship Programme is now open for submissions: the topic is ‘What Holds Our World Together’ – entries are accepted until May 15, 2023.

Every two years, the German Association for Freelance Photographers and Filmmakers (BFF) offers a unique grant to 12 promising newcomers under the age of 35. This includes a comprehensive mentorship programme, as well as multi-day workshops and expert talks on career development and the photography industry at large.
In addition to the active support of established BFF members, the 12 finalists will have access to camera equipment for the completion of their chosen projects, which will be presented in a touring exhibition.

The grand finale is an award ceremony at the opening weekend of next year’s ‘Horizons Zingst’ Environmental Photo Festival, where the exhibition will be on display from May 25 to June 2, 2024.
