From New Vision to Art Photography

April 20, 2015

From 25 April to 28 June 2015, the Willy Brandt House in Berlin presents selected works from its Photographic Collection.
John Heartfield, Robert Capa, Tina Modotti, Robert Lebeck, Michael Najjar, Herlinde Koelbl and Magdalena Jetelova are just some of the acclaimed photographers represented in the Photographic Collection of the Willy Brandt House in Berlin.

From this collection, which encompasses the works of 60 photographic artists, curators have now selected around 100 images spanning the years from 1926 to today.

The resulting exhibition comprises early representatives of the New Vision movement, influential photojournalistic works from the fifties onwards, as well as examples of the Author Photography movement in East and West Germany. The show also features several large-format works by contemporary photography artists.
