January 27, 2018

The Photography, Architecture and Nature retrospective with works by Sigrid Neubert will be on display at the Museum für Fotografie in Berlin, from February 9 to June 3, 2018.
From February 9 to June 3, 2018, the Museum für Fotografie in Berlin is presenting Photographs, Architecture and Nature, an exhibition of works by Sigrid Neubert.

Sigrid Neubert (born 1927) spent 30 years as a photographer for many important architectural firms. She developed her own style, giving rise to images that are rich in contrast and clearly show the structures of the buildings, and making Neubert one of the best-known architecture photographers in Germany.

Starting in the seventies, she began to introduce impressive pictures of nature into her oeuvre, dedicating herself completely to this genre as of 1990. Neubert’s approach to her work was always defined by a very intense involvement with the objects being photographed. Now the Museum für Fotografie is dedicating a retrospective to the photographer’s full body of work. A book by Frank Seehausen on Sigrid Neubert’s architecture photography will appear on the occasion of the exhibition.
