Minimum – Maximum presents works by photographer Peter Boettcher, who has been documenting and interpreting the Dusseldorf multi-media project, Kraftwerk, for more than two decades.
The photo exhibition, which will be shown exclusively at the pavlov’s dog gallery in Berlin, runs in parallel to a 3-D concert series: Kraftwerk - Der Katalog – 12345678, during which the Electro-pioneers will be presenting their complete body of work in eight concerts at the new National Gallery.
Hailing from Cologne, photographer Peter Boettcher has been taking pictures of international music stars such as R.E.M., Morrissey and Sonic Youth, since the mid eighties. At the beginning of the nineties, the independent magazine spex, commissioned him to photograph Kraftwerk at the legendary Kling-Klang Studios close to Dusseldorf's main train station. For Kraftwerk's photographic imagery, it represented the beginning of an intense collaboration that is still in effect today.
