…carried by the wind

The exhibition '…carried by the wind' with photographic works by Inessa Dolinskaia (born 1980) will be showing at the Hilaneh von Kories Gallery in Berlin from 27 November 2015 to 19 February 2016.

Urban Life in Focus
From Moscow to Florence and especially Berlin: the photographer is continuously drawn to urban life, roaming through cities on a constant quest for fleeting moments amidst the fray. In her photographs, Inessa Dolinskaia takes her audience on an exploratory tour beyond our ordinary levels of perception. To this end, she directs the viewer's attention onto often-overlooked details, or creates a new awareness of familiar objects by alienating their appearance through the use of unusual angles and blur.

Poetry of the Ordinary
Dolinskaia is an attentive observer, who responds to the wealth of impressions found in city life with great sensitivity. The results are serene images that open up an understanding for the poetry of the everyday. This allows her to continuously surprise the viewer as she keeps presenting them with unusual new insights and interpretations of urban life.
