The CAMERA WORK Gallery celebrates its 20th anniversary.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Berlin’s CAMERA WORK Gallery. The venue, which first opened its doors in 1997, has since grown into one of the world’s leading galleries for fine-art photography.

From the beginning, the gallery displayed a keen understanding of the defining representatives of photography history, with early exhibitions by artists such as Jeanloup Sieff, Horst P. Horst, Helmut Newton, Peter Lindbergh and Irving Penn. The primary focus continues to be on the genres of model, nude and portrait photography.

In 2002, the CAMERA WORK AG corporation was founded: the company now owns one of the most extensive and significant private photography collections to date. In 2006, CAMERA WORK also opened THE KENNEDYS Museum in Berlin. Over the past two decades, CAMERA WORK and the CWC GALLERY have presented a grand total of over 130 exhibitions.
