C/O Berlin in presenting 'Close Up!', a project in collaboration with the 65th International Film Festival in Berlin. From February 5 to 15, 2015, 13 young photographers will be given the opportunity to try out their skills as professional photojournalists during the Berlinale.
Photojournalism can be very glamorous. But also tough! The red carpet, international film stars, hectic staff, and glimpses behind the scenes – the young photographers will be asked to present their own perspectives of the Berlinale's diversity. Each of them will focus on a theme, go in search of motifs, select the images and put together a series. At the end of the Berlinale, the photographs will be exhibited at C/O Berlin in the Amerika Haus. A jury of experts will choose the best three series and the winners will receive an award.
Applications can be made up until January 9, 2015! Up-and-coming photographers between 20 and 25 years of age and who are still in training, can participate in 'Close Up!'.
