Love song

From May 1 to June 6, 2015, the Loock Gallery in Berlin is presenting "Songbook", an exhibition of photography by Magnum photographer Alec Soth. The vernissage will take place on April 30, 2015, in the presence of the photographer.

The pictures were taken for the photo book of the same title, produced in collaboration with writer Brad Zellar. The two spent three years travelling through rural America. They always pretended to be reporters for the self-published small-town newspaper, LMB Dispatch, and created a book in the traditional style of Life Magazine as published in the forties and fifties. Alec Soth was born in Minneapolis, USA, in 1969, and has been a full member of Magnum Photos since 2008.
