From October 27 to November 2, 2018, a 360° panoramic rotunda by the Leica photographer HG Esch, with a unique view of the Cologne Cathedral, will be on exhibit in Beijing.

Viewers will be able to immerse themselves in the detail-faithful, panoramic picture, taken from Cologne Cathedral’s crossing tower. Thanks to the high resolution images taken by the Leica photographer HG Esch, it is possible to discover everything down to the tiniest detail in the 60 images that have been collated together to create the rotunda.

For seven day, visitors to the Olympic Stadium (Bird Nest) Square in Beijing, a partner city of Cologne, will be able to experience this intense visual event between the hours of 8am and 10pm. The rotunda will be officially opened by the Governing Mayor of the city of Cologne, Henriette Reker, a representative of Beijing’s city government and the photographer Hans Georg Esch, during a ceremony on October 27.

Just like HG Esch’s Shanghai 360° rotunda, exhibited most recently in Belgrade, the Cologne rotunda will also go on a world tour – the various locations will be announced in due course.
