The World Through His Eyes exhibition of works by Sebastião Salgado remains on display at The Bangkok Art and Culture Center up until March 8, 2017. This major solo exhibition, the first of Sebastião Salgado’s in Thailand, brings together iconic black and white photos belonging to his best known, long-term projects: Workers (1986–1992), Exodus (1993–1999) and Genesis (2004–2011). It also includes a portfolio of silver gelatin prints titled Other Americas.

Born in Brazil in 1944, Salgado is one of the world’s greatest, living photographers. Travelling in propeller planes, on foot, in boats and canoes, and even in a tethered hot-air balloon, subject to extreme climatic conditions and life-threatening situations, he has spent the past three decades visiting over 100 countries to capture the images of nature, wildlife and indigenous peoples that, in turn, captivate viewers.
