In light of this challenging and unusual year, the 10 finalists of the Louis Roederer Discovery Award are sharing the 15,000-euro prize as a show of solidarity. The official winners are the Indian artist Poulomi Basu (selected for her extraordinary series, ‘Centralia’), and French photographer Francois-Xavier Gbré, whose project ‘Émergence’ was captured in Côte d'Ivoire, West Africa.
The Swiss-French photographer Sabine Weiss will be honoured with the Women in Motion Award in recognition of her life’s work.
The Luma Rencontres Dummy Book Award 2020 goes to Yto Barrada and guest artist Bettina for their publication ‘Bettina’. Kourtney Roy received an Honourable Mention for ‘The Other End of the Rainbow’.
