Who am I? And how many?

The group showcase ‘That’s me! Sure?’ continues at the Photography Forum of the Aachen City Region until June 13, 2021. While the first part of the title suggests certainty, the added question introduces a sense of doubt. This perfectly reflects the exhibition’s exploration of the meaning of identity – which pushes boundaries, breaks taboos, and plays with existing social norms.

In more than 120 images, the showcase investigates the role of gender, religion and social standing in connection with our personal identities. The presentation - which was organised in collaboration with Magnum Photos and the Jersey Heritage Collection - features works by artists such as Claude Cahun, Philippe Halsman, Jürgen Klauke, and Inge Morath.

Visits to the exhibition are limited to 90 minutes, and require a prior appointment arranged via phone or email.
