A Long Separation | 오랜 이별

May 5, 2018

The exhibition A Long Separation | 오랜 이별 with moving portraits of people who were separated from their families in the Korean War is touring the United States until 12 May 2018.
Photographer Laura Elizabeth Pohl currently presents her project A Long Separation | 오랜 이별 at various venues throughout the U.S. The series comprises portraits of ten Koreans who experienced their families being separated by the war. The images are complemented by voice recordings in which her subjects allow insights into their emotional world. Admission is free.

The tour began on 2 May in Newport News, Virginia, and is currently making its way north to Lexington, Massachusetts. The Baltimore-based photographer will meet the audience and talk about her project at two of the scheduled venues.
